Our broad research interest is in data mining and machine learning with application in healthcare setting. Some specific areas are including but not limited to computer vision, natural language processing, time-series analysis and anomaly detection. We enjoy advancing AI techniques for healthcare, with special attention to interpretable methods to improve the trustworthiness of predictive models. Potential applications are developing models and algorithms that incorporate community knowledge for strategic planning in the health care setting and using wearable technology for preventive healthcare like early detection and monitoring of patient health.
